I have a fragment of a Union battle flag marked "July 27, 1862, Cold Harbor." The remnant is rather large and was captured at Gaines Mill (also called Cold Harbor by the Confederates). I was fortunate enough to receive this piece that has passed through my family. I believe this may be a piece of the New Jersey flag captured at the Battle of Gaines Mills.
