1st Ark Inf at Shiloh for Ken and Greg

Here is another blurb that I don't know if you have or not. Again, if you do, sorry for the duplication. It refers to color bearers at Shiloh. the details come from a letter of Captain William A. Crawford of Company E. He states, "Our color bearer fell, shot through the head and Tom Rowan (noble boy) seized them and galantly bore them through the bloody field where the shot fell as thick as hail"
Not sure who the initial bearer was, but Rowan evidently carried them for the remainder of the battle. He is not listed as color bearer at any time afterward on his CSR's which are complete up to capture at Franklin on the retreat after the Nashville debacle.
