I've been doing a bit of research for an article I would like to write soon about the designating flags and badges of the 19th Corps (63-65) and how they have been misinterpreted over time. While digging around for research, I saw Sheridan's HQ flag that was in use during his time in the Valley (I'm sure everyone has seen the design, but I was unaware until I saw the flag in person just how much larger it was than a standard guidon). Do any of you happen to know what the actual dimensions of this flag (at least the version that is currently on display at Appomattox) are, and how large the stars happen to be? Thanks for the help.
