The 56th Pennsylvania's flag, was captured by the 6th North Carolina. The flag was sent to the state capital (Raleigh, North Carolina). An Illinois officer in Major-General Sherman's army, found the flag in Raleigh, in April, 1865.

There were probably 60-100 range of all Union flags captured at Second Manassas. Trying to work on the "30 Artillery" captured from Major-General Pope's "Army of Virginia" has been, "Fun" at best. Probably less then 10 pieces are documented and known. Several Union light batteries were captured, but many more that lost a piece or two, sometimes more. Union light batteries used (Six) pieces. The Official Records were of little help.

I will keep on searching!

Have a great evening,
