24th WI at Franklin

One history of the 24th WI describes that during the battle of Franklin, Col MacArthur captured a flag from a confederate major after a hand to hand fight. Col MacArthur, who was seriously injured in the fight, stabbed the confederate officer with his sword and captured the flag described as a " Stars and Bars " design but most likely was a " St Andrew's Cross " Dalton or Charleston Depot design. The regiments in Cleburne's Division had been issued Hardee Type 2 Style banners so the best possibilities would have been a flag from one of the regiments in Brown's Division - especially Gordon's or Strahl's Brigades which included three regiments led by majors. One possibility is Major Robert Payne from the 33rd TN. Does anyone know if the 33rd TN flag was captured at Franklin or have any additional information concerning the confederate flag captured by the 24th WI?
