Contact the New York State Military Museum in Albany as they will have the resources that you will probably need for this one. Nice flag. I have the Mexican book of flags that shows their own colors as well as captured flags from the Texas War of Independence, the Texas/Mexico border war of 1842, Mexican War and more.

The flag you mentions seems to be smaller than Mexican Army infantry colors which I think were made of silk. I will check the book and let you know.
