This flag still exists. The canton reads "Co. C.," not "Co. 8." I think there is some doubt as to whether all this writing is wartime or later. The white bar now has the following battle honors in gold paint, which were most likely added after the war (there are three columns of names, some of which are hard to read now):
1st column - Jonesboro, Lovejoy, Dalton, ??? (looks like FRA... could be FRANKLIN), Overton Hills, Shoal Creek
2nd column - Shiloh, Perryville, Murfreesboro, Missionary Ridge, Chicamauga [sic]
3rd column - (3 that I can't read - one looks like CAT..., one looks like it might be RESACA), Kennesaw, Peachtree Creek
