15th Arkansas Liberty gap

Folks,

The Memphis Appeal of July 7, 1863 (at this time publishing out of Atlanta, GA) with the casualty report of the 15th and 13th Arkansas Infantry at Liberty Gap.

For the 15th Arkansas portion as follows:

Companies C & G - Wounded, ensign bearer, G.A. Slaughter, mortally (since died).

This may indicate that their flag was not found in their abandoned camps at Liberty Gap.
