I got the chance for a good close examination of this flag last year. Completely hand sewn, a bit crudely at that. Much smaller than what you typically find for a reported naval flag. One interesting feature was that the stars were of the peek-through / cut-out type.... but the stars placed on the reverse.... with the obverse side cut out, rather than the other way around which Ive seen on most all others. They also have a huge 2nd National flag also claimed to be associated with the Alabama. This other one is in storage and not currently on display., but I got the chance to see and examine it last year.
