Jeff,
I was wondering if you were aware of the unusual
2nd National at Ole Miss.
Part of the Calvin Simmons Collection in the Library.
The unusual part of it is the fringe that lines the
cross inside the canton.
Its stated history is that it was captured at the
battle of Fredericksburg. Of course, this is not
correct.
I was hoping your research uncovered something
further concerning this flag.
