93rd Illinois Flag Captured at Allatoona?

I was wondering if anybody had any information on whether one of the 93rd Illinois flags were captured during the hand-to-hand struggle for Rowett's Redoubt at the Battle of Allatoona Pass. I have conflicting sources.

General Samuel French, commanding the CS forces, says in his report that he specifically "captured 205 prisoners, 1 U. S. flag, and the. colors of the Ninety-tbird Illinois Regiment, a number of horses, arms, & c.,.." OR 39-1 pg. 818.

Captain Boyce of the 1st & 4th Missouri wrote in his memoirs that:

"As we gained the smoking, roaring parapet I observed the federal flag right in front and made for it; then the thought came up, “I have just gained my captain’s commission, give others a chance,” and I yelled at Sergt. John Ragland of our regiment, “John, go for those colors,” and with a daring leap John tore them from their bearer’s grasp, who received a clod of hard clay from the hand of the writer between the eyes at the same instant. The flag belonged to an Illinois regiment. John Ragland was sent to Richmond with this flag, and won his lieutenant’s commission." Captain Joseph Boyce & the 1st Missouri Infantry pg. 181

However, in a letter to Major General John Corse, the 93rd's commanding officer at the battle, Lt. Col. John E. Tourtelotte stated that he was unaware that the 93rd had lost a flag. The Annals of Iowa Vol. 2 3rd Series pg. 285

The 93rd's report does not mention losing a flag, nor does the regimental history.

I do know the 39th Iowa lost one of its colors. It was captured along with the color bearer, Sergeant Hartzell. The Annals of Iowa Vol. 2 3rd Series pg. 291

The only other regiment involved in the fight at Rowett's Redoubt at Allatoona was the 7th Illinois, but there is no mention of them losing a flag anywhere either.

I'm thinking the 93rd lost its regimental colors, and the 39th Iowa lost its National colors.

Does anybody else have any additional information?
