Phillip,

The 12th Tennessee Cavalry CS was using a Mobile Depot flag in December 1864 as was the rest of Forrest's Cavalry Corps. Several of these flags were captured during this campaign so we know what they look like.

I have cited a source that states that it was the 12th TN's flag that was taken with Rucker.

So, the burden of proof is entirely on you to show that your flag was the one taken with Rucker instead - and this flag MUST be described to a "T" for the account to matter. White field, red cross, whits stars all must be in whatever proof you find. We already know that the Federals were clueless about "brigade" or "Division" flags for the most part. The "brigade" flag of Jones Brigade taken at Culp's Hill turned out to be one of the regiment's flags. So we do not need any more accounts of such flags.

The only accounts that any of us will accept are those that describe the flag perfectly. If not, then case is closed and you cannot prove that your flag was ever seen by Rucker much less used by him. If you come up with vivid accounts complete with description of your flag then I will be the first to ea crow.
