Be sure to check out the web site of the Delaware Historical Society as they have posted the two CS flags they hold in their collections. These pages have details, photos and more.
One was captured in early 1862 from a CS vessel doing inter-coastal trade by a Union warship from the squadron of Flag Officer Samuel Du Pont of Wilmington, DE. Du Pont gave the flag to the city of Wilmington. Details of this capture can be found in the Naval Official Records for the South Atlantic Blockading Squadron.
