Gillespie for 12 months, appointed Drummer, May 1, 1862, appointed Flagbearer/Color Bearer, October 1, 1862, subsequently recorded as Color Sergt., captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, paroled July 9, died at home, August 5, 1863
