Re: A rare 65th Georgia Regimental Infantry flag.

Excellent! I normally live in Washington DC, I will finally be able to do research full time when I retire this coming up October 13th. Back in October 2000, I had enough of "Old Town, Alexandria Virginia" and the horrible traffic and the few parking spots around the Library of Congress/National Archives. I told my wife that we needed to move closer to the LOC/NA, so we contact a realtor and I told her that I need to be near a subway and either the NA or LOC. About three months later the realtor found a nice town house, two blocks from the LOC and just a short walk from the Capital South subway station. I was in paradise.

No more traffic, no more driving around and around and around for a parking spot. Ground zero, can't get any better. Once I retire, I will be at either building, reading and research till I pass on. I/We hope we can finish "Captured Union Infantry Flags/Colors captured" from day one of the War of Rebellion to the last day. Same with "Union Cavalry flags/guidons and Union captured artillery." This has been a massive project, not the usual, one battle book or campaign book. It will take a long time, been a long road so far.

Have a good day,

Shawn Prouty
