Re: Pointe Coupee Artillery Flags

David Bushnell Sr lived in St Louis Missouri, as did the Johnstons. He married Anna Belle Johnston in St Louis on Nov 21, 1872.

DB1 was a member of the executive council of the Missouri Historical Scoiety between 1897 and 1912. About 1912 he went to Europe and returned to New York from Rotterdam on July 22, 1913. Evidently he and Belle Bushnell were divorced some years prior to the 1910 census of St Louis.

The Bushnells appear to have been a wealthy family; presume that accounts for BJB's social status.

Following DB1's death in 1921, he was buried in Bow Wow Cemetery, Sheffield Massachusetts.
