It has the photo on the cover (a previously unpublished 1915 photo of the 4th Ky. Inf's 1862 flag), a previously unpublished photo of the 6th Ky. Inf's 1864 flag (this was the photo probably used to develop the artwork for the 1905 guide to the returned battle flags), and a photo from Confederate Veteran (1925), of the incorrectly attributed flag of the "Hamilton Guards," 2nd Ky. Inf. (this flag was actually the battle flag of the 1st Ky. Inf., which was later used by the 2nd Ky. Inf.).
