Flag of Battle of Mobile Bay

Original caption: "Tattered Old Glory - A bullet-ridden 30-star American flag that tumbled to the deck of Admiral Farragut's flagship during the Civil War Battle of Mobile Bay in 1864 was returned to the Naval Base here Monday. Piedmont 514 of the American Legion presented the flag to rear Admiral John J. Redman, commandant of the 12th Naval District. It will be sent to Annapolis to be repaired and placed on display. Left to Right: Malcolm J. Champlin, past State Commander of the American Legion; John Zurich, Piedmont Post commander; Admiral Redman; Captain W. M.
