I do believe the Third Illinois Cavalry, which was repulsed by Colonel Slack's, Second Missouri Brigade, lost a guidon or possibly several. One of the few casualties in the affair was Colonel Slack.

After the 3rd Illinois Cavalry was repulsed the 9th Iowa and 25th Missouri then attacked. The 9th Iowa was led by Colonel Vandever and the 25th Missouri was at battalion size. The 9th Iowa's LT. Colonel was Francis J. Herron who was wounded/captured. The 9th Iowa lost 218 men. (38K, 176W and 2M). The 25th Missouri lost 94 men (12K, 71W, 11M)

I do not have any proof or sources that the 9th Iowa/25th Missouri lost a flag. But Slack and Hugh reported they captured "One Federal Flag".
