On your next quest, if you have time and the pleasure of viewing actual Hardee pattern battle flags, look up the 16th Alabama or the two known 6th Arkansas Hardee pattern battle flags and then there is the Hardee pattern battle flag that was captured at Petersburg, Va., tentatively ID as the 17th & 23rd Tennessee Infantry, just a small sample of Hardee pattern battle flags that have sleeves for attachment. There are several unknown Hardee pattern battle flags that also have sleeves on the leading edge for attachment and several known & unknown that have whipped eyelets used for attachment.
