Brian Cleveland, on the Mississippi board had an interesting observation, on the picture of the flag, the description offered and the history of the 37th Mississippi;

"Something I find interesting and a bit strange is that the flag of the 37th had on it battle honors for both Baker's Creek and Port Gibson, yet I have found no evidence indicating that the regiment fought in those.
The 37th Alabama fought in those two and was then dug in at Vicksburg, but not Mississippi.
Can anyone illuminate or clarify?
