I have never found anything on the 25th Ohio Infantry Regiment. They just never admitted to losing a color. My associates and I have read all of the regimental histories, Union and Confederate at the Library of Congress. They are missing many, but then again there are many Union and Confederate regiments that do not have a regimental book or a detailed history.

It is very rare that a Union regimental commander admitted to losing a color. So I have to go off of Confederate reports and then figure out what Union regiments fought against that Confederate regiment. We will then get all of those Union regiments in that entire area and find out any information on that regiment.

I do wish, all Union and Confederate regiments had a regimental history more in detail. Most are basic descriptions and battles they were in.

We will find that fourth flag!
