We are seeking help of flag researchers and historians to help determine the true origin of a flag currently owned by the state of Georgia. For many years the flag was believed to be a flag of the 1st Confederate Infantry, but recently this has been disproved; we now believe it originally belonged to the 9th Texas Cavalry. The state of Georgia is asking for additional proof of ownership before they will return it to Texas.
