I looked at the made up ANV flag on the 38th Georgia web site and the flag they depict is inaccurate. This division did not get flags with blue painted battle honors. At best the flags had the unit designations only painted on white strips that were sewn to the flags. Units of the 2nd Corps got new flags after the Maryland Campaign of 1862 and were using them into the Gettysburg Campaign. Based on surviving examples this is what these flags looked like.
