My name is Charles Brown. My G-g-Grandfather, Green Brown from Sylvan Springs, Dale County, Alabama, served in Co. E of the 15th Alabama during the Shenandoah Valley Campaign, Seven Days Battles, and up to Cedar Mountain. Is their silk flag on display anywhere? Or are there any other pictures available of it besides the one posted on the ADAH website? This picture seems to show it faded to almost a brown shade rather than the pale pink almost white color that I've seen in other ANV silk issue flags. Does that mean this flag may have been a darker color than some of the other flags? I'm particularly referring to such as the 8th Virginia and 6th South Carolina. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.
