Captain Storrs and his company didn't arrive in Mississippi in time to participate in Forrest's raid on Athens, Sulphur Springs and Pulaski. Rucker and his men returned to the south bank of the Tennessee River at Eastport MS by October 10th. The 7th Alabama Regiment joined the brigade shortly afterwards.

The time window in which Storrs and his men could have served as Rucker's escort is somewhat limited, about eight or nine weeks. The period began at some time in mid-October, lasting until Dec. 16, 1864, when Rucker was wounded and captured outside Nashville.

I would like to know when Col. Rucker or this escort company was near Aberdeen MS.
