The best resource I know of is Roy M Marcot's book "Spencer Repeating Firearms" . It is a realy fine book first published in published in 1995. It shows the number of Rifles produced by contract but not who acepted the rifles by serial number. You will have to do some real digging to get the data you want. You can Identity the rifle by barrel and receiver markings, serial number and inspectors cartouche.
