I recently discovered the National Archives microfilm collection M1281, which contains the Union ordnance returns by regiment/battery/battalion for the war. For anyone not familiar, there are 8 rolls, 1 for the artillery, 2 for cavalry, and the other 5 for the infantry. I have roll 7 on a CD I purchased from the National Archives last year, which covers the Union infantry ordnance returns for June 30, 1864 and September 30, 1864. I am looking for the other rolls in CD format.
