Sir, I am going to suggest for the Confederate side, my ancestor, Jesse P. Williams, 8th Missouri CSA, Sergeant, and color Bearer. He was in the Missouri State Guard, and later the 5th (later designated 8th Mitchell's) Infantry. I have several documents to help you including a US Census, Enlistment or muster rolls, Application for Pension, a book made from the diary of his commanding officer, and his obituary. Please let me know if I can help.

I also have had two other ancestors in the Civil War:
Oscar Monig, Surgeon, 49th Missouri Infantry, 1864 - 1865
James Newton Blake, Sergeant, 31st Missouri infantry, 1862 - 1863, and VRG 1863 - 1864
