At the Franklin, TN reenactment this past weekend we had 18 Henry rifles. Our men came from IL, IN, PA, OH, TN, GA, MI and VA. I think during the weekend our unit went through over 5000 rounds of blanks for the 2 days of fighting. It is an education for all when a large group of Henry riflemen are at an event. At Bentonville we had 23. It sure does make a difference. Most reenactors as well as the public have not seen the Henry rifles used in these numbers and get a feel for what kind of firepower an entire regiment must have had.
