M1855 Rifleman´s Belt

I am doing researches about the M 1855 Rifleman´s belt. Any information is appreciated. It would be of interest, where these belts were produced, as I never saw a maker or inspector´s mark on any of them. I realized different constructions: Most have the bayonet frog sewn inside of the belt with the two "arms" not symmetric, some outside with rounded arms, symmetric. Pictures of French soldiers 1870/71 show the belt although the French pattern has not the small adjusting stripes inside and is constructed in a different way. Obviously the belt was introduced in US service before the war, but there were presumably deliveries in 1861 from France together with a lot of other accoutrements (by E. Ladé, Paris). The question is, how to determine a French production belt from an US production belt or were perhaps all manufactured in France?
