The number 4217 is a little early for the 72nd Guns - not that it wasn't, but the number 4217 falls between 4215 and 4230 both co.K 5th Mich Cav.

This doesn't mean that it wasn't a 72nd Gun, but most of them are mid to late 4,000's up into the 6,000 range.
