Weapons for Lucas' Battalion

I have the honor to request that Lucas' Battalion be armed by the state as soon as practicable, and if possible, with muskets of the pattern of 1842. The Battalion has at present an imperfect equipment of rifles which will be returned if a complete equipment of muskets can be made.
