I have a picture of three members of Co F, 8th Louisiana - Fontenot Brothers. They are wearing Battleshirts (appear to be a gray with black trim). The picture's date is unknown, but was taken prior to Gettysburg, as one of the brothers died from wounds suffered there.

Is there a time line/frame when Louisiana troops, specifically those in the ANV, would have been issued or obtained and wore such battleshirts?
