Purging history is tough on all of us across the South. About the only place left to spend our tourism dollars without worrying about monuments having been removed or names changed is in states above the Mason-Dixon, California, and overseas. If it's any consolation, the only tourism dollars we will be spending in the City of Richmond is at the Whitehouse of the Confederacy and Hollywood Cemetery. HTBAR has located and identified three veterans of Hood's Brigade without markers at the Hollywood Cemetery. We have applied for headstones from the VA and paid to have them installed. As part of our tour, we will have a dedication and memorial ceremony for these forgotten vets as part of our 3-day tour at several locations around the state.
