You can wade through a lot of information, and if you understand it the way that I do it appears that the current Democrat view by the Democrat lawmakers is that a couple of non military clauses in the Constitution, and their have been other preceding events, which they believe allows them to have broader oversite of the military, and their attitude is if the Military won't police themselves and change it they will. What they can do is hold up military budgets until the military complies with their wishes. IF I was the DOD, I would politely remind them, that they have no jurisdiction trying to dictate to the Military the names of posts. I probably would not be at DOD very long, because, I would be polite, listen, and then stick to my guns, and then they would find some way to get me noved. and get someone in who would be much more cooperative of their wishes.
