I agree, was the major cause of Secession, and not Slavery, as it appears. I am not a revisionist, and I would not say it caused the War, but it certainly had a huge impact, and I can see where those that think it was slavery that caused the War. They only have a piece of the puzzle and not the whole puzzle. My question to them is why would a dirt poor farmer in Arkansas go to war for a for a Tobacco Plantation or a Cotton plantation in Virginia and Georgia? Why would a Minnesota Shop keeper who has not ever seen a slave or a black person, go to War to free slaves? There is a lot more to the convoluted mess of the times.
