In the practice of naming a fortification after certain persons such as Colonel Pleasants the singular form of the name would often be used. I am aware of Fort Pleasant and where the remains of the fort still are. I and my group of historians in the Patrick Cleburne Camp of Sons of Confederate Veterans are the ones responcible for those remains, the Brigade Campsites, and Cemetery, to be documented with the Department of Arkansas History.
I am also aware of where England, Arkansas is, but have never heard of it referred to as "English", Arkansas. Could you explain?
