I think it is a great story. Fighting in a thunderstorm and then having to fight off angry honey bees. Now that is a war story!!! Sounds like both sides caught it from the bees. I know from personal experience, soldiers tend to contend with bullets better than with bees. My Company had a run in with bees in Iraq. We were mounted in UpArmored Hummers, in over watch when one of the patrol members kicked up some debri and bees flew out. The race was on, and guaranteed to a man, the gunners dropped in and closed the hatch to keep the bees out. Thanks for sharing the information about the Battle of the Bees.
