Don't forget about the Lorenz Rifle. It was also in .54 caliber and the Confederacy imported a substantial number of them. As Springfields and Enfields became available, the Lorenz rifles were withdrawn and then reissued to secondary troops. Later on a portion of them were converted to .58 caliber.
