SECOND DIVISION ARK. VOLUNTEERS

Remaining Companies Making the Roster Complete.

In last Sunday's Gazette a roster of two of the fire companies called into service to do duty on the eastern boarder of the state was printed. The three remaining company rosters follow, completing the entire strength of the Second division of Arkansas volunteers at the beginning hostilities in April 1861. Many of these names, both officers dn privates, became distinguished, both as commanders, and field officers, later along in the war. Some are still living to adorn the list of veterans who served the state and the Confederacy in the bloody days of the civil war. Many achieved honor nd distinction, who have long been under the sod. the compiler of the war records of Arkansas feels that he ahs been particularly fortunate in procuring these original lists, together with the various orders, reports and tabulated issues of supplies in the beginning of the war.
