Thanks for all the responses on my GGF John Harmon Holcomb and his service with the 23rd Arkansas Infantry. Would anyone know if his name appears on either of the surrender lists at Wittsburg or Jacksonport in May 1865. Not sure if he continued on Price's raid, went home, or went into Texas after his Port Hudson parole. I do not think he went home then as his next child (my GF) was not born until 1868. Thanks for any help.
