Re: "Name dropped from rolls to Mo rolls"?

Yes Setzer was color bearer but he was killed at Richmond KY in Aug 62. The search continues. I know a local boy (Saline Co) Ensign/1LT Wilbern Ramsey had been color bearer since about March 1863. He was requested officially appointed to Ens and 1LT in June 64. Sec of War Seddon signed it with a date of rank of July 29. But unbeknownst to officials Ramsey was Kia July 28 during big battle of Atlanta and replaced by James High who carried the colors until wounding and capture in front of Nashville. He signed an oath to the Confederacy on 7 Dec 64 which I presume was either for reenlistment or his official office as Ensign that was signed by Seddon on Oct 25. Just wish I knew who the fellow was that lost his hand and the McCown style flag in the cedar breaks at Murfreesboro.
