Holcomb, Private, Company H, Adams’ Regiment, Arkansas Infantry,* enlisted March 6, 1862 at Arkadelphia for 12 months, reported as missing following the battle of Corinth, Miss., Oct. 3-5, 1862, detailed to Medical Dept. by year’s end, subsequently Acting Assistant Surgeon, captured at Port Hudson La., July 9, 1863, paroled July 12/13, 1863, no further records

* This company subsequently became Company H, 23rd Arkansas Infantry
