Ok, I replied with factual documentation....am I right or wrong....if you join the vile, damn Yankees, are you a deserter or not? The descendant said I was wrong, mistaken, etc. but I can't see it that way. I have dealt with other descendants of this family and they all seem to think their ancestors were "squeaky clean"! It is amazing how family history and oral tradition can totally discombobulate the true facts of ancestoral activity in the war! Need some input from you who matter, am I wrong or right???
