Sir—You are hereby ordered to accompany the wounded that are now leaving this Hospital for St. Louis and give them all the medical attention in your power. You will remain with them until they shall have recovered from their wounds, at which time you will report to me at Ironton, Mo., or to your command in case I am not here.
