Re: Bentonville's Confederate Cave true or false?

I am the Benton County Commander of The American Legion. I am also Past Commander of American Legion, Riddle-Hutcheson Post 77, Bentonville and am still a member there. As a child growing up in the area, I remember The Civil War Cave west of Bentonville which has been closed to the public for many years. There is no outward sign of it being there from the highway except for a parking lot and a couple of buildings. The Civil War Cave is an entirely different place than the Spanish Treasure Cave which is North of Gravette, AR. There is another cave, Cliff Dwellers Cave, North of that near Noel, Mo.

I have an interest in gaining any information available concerning the Old Civil War Cave trying to determine if it is a candidate for restoration as a war memorial. Please contact me at septday30@gmail.com if you have any information or history at all.
