Hey Guys; Are you forgetting that during the Arkansas Post expedition up the White River in January 1863 that there was work being done to place two 8 inch Columbiads at St Charles and that the guns were quickly removed just before the Union Gunboats arrived?

It could be possible that the flags were of the 24th Arkansas Inf. which was stationed there at that time for that work, and not the June 17th 1862 battle.
