I'm looking for more information on a fort built of cotton bales on Christmas day 1863 at Austin, Arkansas by the 8th Missouri Cavalry in preparation of an attack coming from General McRae. The attack never materialized. Looking for something in an official report that may give a description as to size, shape, and location to used in historic tours of the area.
