Frederick H. Guthrie, 1st Corporal, Company D, 10th Regiment Arkansas Infantry, enlisted July 29, 1861 at Springfield for one year, promoted 5th Sergeant March 21, 1862, deserted July 30, 1862, captured, gave himself up, at Natchez, Miss. July 16, 1863, received at Camp Morton, Indianapolis, Ind. prison August 8, expressed desire to take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States remaining within the Federal lines, died of Pneumonia May 31, 1864, buried in Grave No. 898 Green Lawn Cemetery
